A Hurricane of Rad

South Beach, a tropical paradise where people from all over the world come to experience it's magnificent beaches, exquisite art deco architecture, one of a kind culture, and its extraordinary night club scene.

It is often forgotten, when immersed in the facade of the south beach lifestyle, that Florida is notorious for its tropical storms. Amidst the Glamor and excess, deep in the underbelly of ritzy beach side nightlife, a monstrous storm is brewing. A storm so deadly and destructive it can eradicate 100's of innocent lives in its cataclysmic aftermath.

As I type, There is a "Hurricane of Rad" violently ravaging south beaches nightlife scene. There is Nothing you can do to stop it. Nothing you can do to prepare you for it's radical outcome. The Only Thing You can Do is Embrace it's impact, and pray it doesn't send you to the depths of hell in its bloody wake.

This "Fuckstorm of Rad" has been Cultivating its Deadliness for months in A little Discotheque nestled in South Beaches underbelly named "Bella Rose."

Bella Rose, formally "The Boom Boom Room", was Transformed by nightclub gurus Alfred Spellman of Rakontur and Keith Paciello. Little did they Know this place would take on a life of it's own and invoke mayhem throughout the city. Before these men created "Bella Rose" this establishment located on 423 16th St. reeked of murder and mayhem. Before it's demise, the boom boom room' was the location of a gruesome murder in which an innocent man was riddled with bullets due to a drive by shooting.

Alfred Spellman, Filmmaker behind "Cocaine Cowboys advocates that Miami is what it is today because of raucous drug trade and that the city was on the verge of economic meltdown before the cocaine epidemic came along.

Check out More on Cocaine Cowboys here Cocaine Cowboys

After Alfred Spellman and Keith Paciello bought the place, Alexis Mincolla, A Sinister Sorcerer, arose from the fiery depths of hell to inhabit this venue and use it to carry out his evil decree, and turn the place into his own malicious sanctuary every Sunday night for "Black Sunday." Black Sunday is A Day where Alexis and His minions unleash a fury of rad upon south beach. It is a day when Bella Rose's fiendish lair is illuminated with disco lights and welcomes the local hipsters come to bask in its radness for a heinously good time.

Arising from the bowels of hell, Mincolla and his gang knew south beach would be the perfect spot to create their evil cult of party goers. They knew that although sobe is an international party destination for jetseters around the world, the locals who live there were yearning for something different and fresh, a party that quote "Doesn't Suck" His idea would be the "Canary in the Coalmine for the Paradigm shift in South beach." Inspired By the Likes of Rob Zombie, Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, Ect. He Decided to Use Bella Rose as a backdrop for his Very own Slasher Film Party come to life. Black Sunday is a night Where Mincolla can indulge himself in savage murders that quench his thirst For Blood, Sacrifice, and Debauchery. He Creates a Series of {Fake} snuff films after every party, comprised of roughly 3,000 pictures that showcase the insanity that ensues every Sunday at "Bella Rose."

It Seems after every murder he commits, Lex's powers grow and The Black magic that flows through his veins intensifies. His cult grows Bigger by the week, and his Parties become more and more bonkers. Amidst is many followers, "The Cool Kids" are a group of hip scene kids that you will more than likely see partying hard and causing mayhem at one of Lex's event's. The name "Cool Kid's" was formed when a reporter {who is probably dead now} called the Kids at Black Sunday some "Cool Kid's." The Name just Stuck from there.
Among this ever growing sea of cool kids, there are three who remain Lex's closet companion's and help make Lex's parties what they are today. There is Stian Petter Roenning, a mad Scientist and evil mastermind who tends to morph two people together to create demented siamese twins. In Real Life though, he is a brillinat photographer and Artist.

This is He.

Charis Kirchheimer & Tamara Sky are Two Beautiful Seductresses that help Lex seduce innocent Victim's to ultimately be murdered in cold blood. Aside from that, they are also great model's and artists.
This Valentines Day, The Crew Got Invited to Atlanta to unleash their murderous art form at an underground party called "Sloppy Seconds" Located in the Venue MJQ. This Party Had Pase Rock on The One's and two's, Hot Women and Hip Fellas with ingenious fashion sense and was sponsored by Puma ans Scion.

Check it out for Yourselves.

Lex and his crew are gaining popularity with Juggernaut Momentum, and will very soon be "Overthrow"ing a party near you. Untill then, His Demented creativity, along with his cultlike following have gained the attention of "The Fontainebleau" one of South Beach's most premiere hotels. Teaming up with promotion master minds Poplife, OverThrow {Alexis Mincolla & Sam Baum} & Dim Mak {Steve Aoki's Record Label" Lex and His Crew promise to Deliver one of the Biggest Party's this Country has ever had on a weekly basis.

The Fountaineblue, Known For is Illustruious History as a south beach landmark, has set the stage for Acts Such as Frank Sinatra, The Supreme's, & The Dave Clark Five. Just recently, it underwent lavish renovations, and opened a Glamorous new night club called "Liv" where Celebrities and wealthy socialites all over America gather to party. Every Wednesday, Alexis and his crew will be Transforming this Posh wonderland into a colossal extravaganza of RAD, where
sin & salaciousness will ensue. Look out South Beach, "Dirty Hairy" is coming.

Don't be fooled by the Foutaineblue's opulent Interior and fancy-shmancy history, "Dirty Hairy" promises to be the "Exact Opposite" of anything the Fountaineblu has ever hosted before. They Will Be Flying in the Hottest Dj's & Acts from the underground scene each & every week, Have cheap drinks, and have the most Mind Boggling circus like spectacles for all to behold. They Will Have Killer Bottle Service, even selling 32oz. quarts of beer at the bar, Hot Girls walking around In Bizzare animal mask's and fat hairy guy's dancing on poles. How'z that for different?!
The First Three party's will include acts such as Flosstradamas & Kid Sister, Chromeo & Diplo, and Craze & Klever.

"Dirty Hairy" will also be home to superstar resident Dj's Danny Daze & Contra {Santogold's Tour Dj}, who will provide an eclectic mix of music that match the style of the acts that will be flying in each & every week. Danny Daze, 1/3 of the super group "Discotech", is one of America's biggest new up and coming music producers. Hit Him up on myspace. myspace.com/djdannydaze

Here Are The Fliers for Dirty Hairy's incredible starting line-up....

As If Throwing all these parties isn't enough for Aleix Mincolla, He is also releasing a spicy new drink called "Promethious Springs" a Healthy Elixir to cure your thirst and Tickle your Taste Buds.

In Conclusion, This Charming Young Sorcerer "Alexis Mincolla" is revolutionizing the way the world will experience nightlife, and is setting the standard for all party hosts throughout "The Scene." It will be extemely interesting to see what he come's up with next, so make sure to hit him up on facebook and keep his Vimeo Channel bookmarked. I'll continue to post more blogs as the months pass by and keep you updated on all the madness he and his evil minions are causng thoughout the world.

In the Mainstream Club World, he is 1/3 of the super group "Discotech" who's music can be heard in practically every club you frequent at least two or three times a night. Ive heard Dj's drop over 15 Discotech remixes in one night and the crowd goes crazy everytime.

Yeah. Really.

Aside from that, Gigamesh is his own Musical Entity with an intergalactic style that spans the Cosmos.

As a Dj Myself, I like To in vision the nightclub as a fantasy land, a land where you are swept away into an abyss of laser lights, smoke, beautiful women, and music that ignites your senses and takes you on an emotional rollercaoster ride. This Album, "Let's Start" does exactly That.

In a World where record companies saturate the market with music they think we are "supposed to like" and monotonously play it over and over on the radio and in the club, people are in desperate need of a fuckin' break. This Cd is a break from the norm. It features track's with Groovy Melody's, Catchy Hook's, and beats that make you wanna "Cut a Rug" Without leaving You saying....why isn't Lil Wayne on this Mix?

Lil Who??????

The songs were hand selected out of Gigameshes Infinite indie music arsenal, and are reflective of a not so distant future in dance music where dj's awaken their crowd to a plethora of new tunes that will be having them rushing the dj and asking em..... "Who Is this Artist and how Do i get my hands on it?" All the While igniting the dance Floor with space age cosmic groovyness.

Anywayzz....Don't just take my opinion for it....listen and Judge for yourself.

Disco Nights

Busy City

San Fransisco Graffitti Culture

There Is a Huge Graffiti Culture at San Fransico's heart, here are some Pic's I took of some of the pieces I've spotted along the way.....

Crate Digging @ Amoeba Music Califarnia

...Amoeba Music...

California where you at?! Killah Boombox is out here in San Fransisco on a Radical Musical Journey Crate Digging & Geeking- Out To Indie Electronic, Punk- Rock, Vintage Hip- Hop, and whatever else we can feed to our Musically Obsessed Minds.

We Are Stayin' with One of San Fransisco's Hottest up and Coming Dj's "Corrine" so We followed her into the city to One of America's Biggest Independent record stores "Amoeba Records" for Hours upon Hours of Crate Digging to get our hands on some musical gems.

If you don't know what Amoeba Music is you live under a rock!(LOVE DJ SO WHAT!)
Check Out Amoeba.com for an In Depth
look at this amazing store.

When I walked in to Amoeba, I was overwhelmed. My jaw literally hit the floor in Musical disbelief. There were Records & Cd's as far as the eye can see spanning every genre that any Vinyl Enthusiast would be stoked to fill up their collection with. In a time where Vinyl is at it's scarcest, it flourished within Amoebas walls in it's purest form.

We all split up and ran though the store excited like a bunch of kids on Christmas morning. I went around snapping pictures on my iphone while Corrine and Dave searched through electronic records piece by piece hoping to strike gold.

Here are Some Cool Iphone pics.

While Dave and Corrine shuffled through the Vinyl, I Concentrated on Their Huge collection of used Cd's all priced around 4.99 and under. If you buy four, you get one free. The used cd section of the store is just about as big as Best Buy's entire libray. I found a ton of great cd's but I ultimately ended up with these selections all for about two dollars a piece.

Fleetwood Mac- The Dance
Elton John- Greatest Hit's
The Rolling Stones- Some Girl's
Hole-Live Through This
Rod Stewart- Downtown Train
Huey Lewis & The News- Hard at play
Hot Hot Heat- Make up the Breakdown
Sex Pistols- Never Mind the Buollucks
Billy Joel- Kohliept
Nirvana- Heart Shaped Box {Cd Single}
The Rapture- Rare Promo MixCD
I also found another Billy Joel Cd, but it seems to have disapeard....

Causing Kaoss

Photobucket

After Watching Beardymans Beat Boxing performance in Conjunction with the Korg Kaos Pad, I became quickly intrigued on just how powerful this piece of hardware can be.

The Korg KP3 lets you use and abuse realtime effects and sampling by touching, tapping, and sliding your fingers on the revolutionary KAOSS pad. The combination screen/touchpad interface and KAOSS technology make it intuitive, immediate, and just plain fun to use. It's a complete instrument and processor allowing you to manage, recall, and play back samples; sample on the fly; and add dynamic processing to any audio signal or to the samples themselves. {Quote From Musiciansfriend.com}

The Kaoss Pad Can Be used as a Vocoder, a Midi Controler for Ableton and other Software, and a Sampler & Effects processor all in one. The Possibility's with this Electro Dream machine are endless, and it can truly make some of your disco dreams come true. I don't as yet have one of these incredible dj tools, but i can just imagine what cool shows i will be able to put on if I use this in my sets.
